About the wine
Rainer Sauer is considered the champion of Silvaner. In order to produce expressive plants with lots of temperament, he allows his wines plenty of peace and time at all stages of their production process. His son Daniel works as a winemaker in the winery and represents the next generation of the successful winemaking family. In 2011, he was named Young Winemaker of the Year 2011 by the DLG.

Tasting note
The grapes grow in a wind-protected plot on a steep slope with intensive sunlight. Open nose with wonderful fruit aromas. Juicy, precise start with great balance and substance.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are macerated for 72 hours in two batches. It is then gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks before the wine is bottled after a short storage period.
