Tasting note
Nice ruby red. Intense berry aroma with a hint of vanilla. Soft start, full body, harmonious fruitiness, smooth finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled dark meat, ragout, sliced game and game fowl, veal, oven-baked chicken or a quiche with leeks or ham peaks. Of course, it also goes well with semi-hard cheese.
Vinification
Since the vines on Schiterberg are always very early ripe and deliver excellent quality, a plot has been defined in which the yield is further reduced. After one week of maceration, the resulting wine (approx. 5 dl per square meter) is aged for 10-12 months in 225 liter French oak barriques.
