About the wine
St. Michael-Eppan is a cooperative consisting of 350 winegrowers and is one of the largest and most successful wineries in South Tyrol. Despite its size, quality has been paramount since it was founded in 1907, which is why it is also one of the best winegrowers' cooperatives in the world today. The outstanding oenologist Hans Terzer has been managing the winery since 1977.

Tasting note
This Weissburgunder has aromas of ripe apples, pears and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, it is fresh and elegant with fine minerality and a balanced acid structure. The aging in stainless steel tanks as well as in barriques and large wooden barrels gives it depth and complexity.
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Weissburgunder St. Valentin DOC Alto Adige harmoniert bestens mit Pulpo, Tapas und Hartkäse.
Vinification
Fermentation, biological acid degradation and aging of a portion (50%) of the yeast in barrique-tonneaux. The rest is aged in large oak barrels. After just under a year, both wines are blended and aged together in steel tanks for a further eight months.
