About the wine
With the powerful Pinot Noir 2012 — Volnay «En Chevret», nuances and accents are redefined. This Pinot Noir draws its strength and energy from the calcareous, shale soils in Burgundy. Tasting note
In the dark ruby red glass. Volnay 1er Cru En Chevret has delicious notes of licorice and blackcurrant on the nose. On the palate, it is full and round. The aromas of blackcurrant and mocha are carried by silky tannins. A wine with lots of freshness and elegance, which ends in a long finale.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with veal, mushrooms, game, aged cheese.
Vinification
Hand harvest. Fermentation traditionally in large, open wooden barrels. The wine is then aged for ten to twelve months in oak barrels specially made by the Louis Latour coopers.
