About the wine
Bodega Biniagual belongs to the hamlet of Biniagual with just 14 houses, a small chapel and its own farm — a self-contained complex that is perfectly integrated into the Mallorcan landscape around Binissalem. The tradition of winemaking dates back to the 18th century. At the beginning of the 20th century, phylloxera completely destroyed the vines. Since 2002, wine has been pressed again in Biniagual, and the Veran is undoubtedly one of Mallorca's best and most popular reds today.

Tasting note
The Verán delights with its intense nose with spicy aromas of clove, vanilla, fresh plants, eucalyptus, coconut and currants. On the palate, it is balanced with present and well-integrated tannins. A top wine from the island, which is becoming increasingly popular in Switzerland.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty meat dishes, beef tenderloin, game, Iberian pork, grilled meats.
Vinification
After harvesting, the grapes are placed in boxes with a capacity of 10 to 12 kg and sorted out by hand. Fermentation takes place at constantly controlled temperatures using special techniques, which largely protect the Manto Negro grape colored by oxidation. The wine is then aged for 13 months in French (90%) and American (10%) barriques. 65% new wood and 35% biennial wood are used.
