Valdeorras DO Asadoria 2023 - Bodega Valdesil

The “Asadoria” comes from the single vineyard of the same name which was planted in 1971. The vines there are rooted deep in barren slate soils, which gives the wine a salty minerality. Restrained and noble in the bouquet, the aromas are very delicate and cool. This pure Godello shows its true size, especially on the palate: an elegant concentrate of lemon zest, grapefruit and white peach is perfectly combined with salty slate minerality and a touch of flint. It has power and charm, but is at the same time refreshing and puristic at its core. Stays on for an extremely long finish and lets the minerality dance on the tongue. A pure terroir wine with lots of depth.
