About the wine
A must for connoisseurs, this dominant Chasselas 2016 — Twanner AOC Johanniter Selection! You can describe nature in Bern with words such as hilly. However, the Swiss winery Johanniterkeller is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this white wine. We think he succeeded! The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve these chasselas with terrines or an aperitif.

Tasting note
Delicate lemon yellow with green reflections. Complex on the nose with scents of bright flowers, grapefruit notes and some pear. Mineral and subtly fruity with good structure and nice length.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with perch or whitefish fillets, but also goes well with white meats such as roast veal or poultry. It also develops its full potential with vegetarian dishes such as asparagus risotto or goat cheese tart.
Vinification
The grapes for this wine come from the up to 50% inclined slopes of the southern foot of the Jura, where calcareous brown soil provides high minerality. After manual harvesting, the grapes are carefully processed to preserve the freshness and fruitiness of the Chasselas. The aging takes place in stainless steel tanks to accentuate the typical aromas of the grape variety.
