About the wine
With the biting white wine 2016 — Trittenheimer Apotheke Riesling Spatlese Alte Reben, nuances and accents are redefined. Picturesque landscapes of the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the German winery F.J. Eifel conjures up this white wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Riesling is excellent to serve with duck or mushrooms.

Tasting note
This wine almost explodes with fruit. Apricot, mirabelle, peach, citrus, blossom meadow, honey, exotic fruits and wild cherry are just a few of the aromas that flow at us. The taste of this drop is constantly changing and shows a wonderful balance of acidity and residual sweetness. Fresh, lively, transparent with slate-like spiciness. A strong minerality results in an animating finale with a delicate sweet melt. It's just a shame that only very few bottles of this elixir are produced. Es hett solang s'hett!
Culinary recommendation
As a meditation wine, with Asian cuisine, spicy dishes, cheese, sushi, sashimi, veal and poultry dishes.
Vinification
The grapes for this Riesling grow on the steepest slopes of the Trittenheimer Apotheke. Often, roping is necessary during the work steps in the vineyard. Of course, the reading is done by hand. The wine is vinified and aged with spontaneous yeast in classic Moselle fuder.
