About the wine
The farm, which dates back to the 14th century, is located in the area where the classical St. Magdalenians originated. The traditional company that has always cultivated and processed vines into wine - Vernatsch on the hill and Lagrein in the Eisack plain - has been owned by the same family for 180 years. In the last century alone, three generations have cultivated vines and houses. In 1983, the farm was taken over by Franz Gojer and the wines were marketed himself. The Cru location Furggl in Auer with its stony alluvial soil is ideal for Lagrein and produces a particularly long-lasting wine with lots of minerality and distinct tannins.

Tasting note
Bright, strong ruby red. Cherry and violet scent, fine almond aroma. In the mouth, pleasant tannins and mild acidity, velvety, harmonious and round.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with various Mediterranean starters, game feathers, rabbits, but also with tender lamb and hearty cheese dishes.
Vinification
Handpicking the best grapes and transporting them in large crates. Gentle processing. Cold maceration for 3 days with spontaneous start of fermentation. Inoculation with pure yeast, controlled fermentation in steel tanks with repeated immersion of the mash for more extraction. Ageing and storage in large wooden barrels.
