About the wine
Fertile and picturesque landscapes in South Tyrol give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Ritterhof conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. With the special Sudtiroler Merlot Riserva DOC Crescendo from 2005, you will positively surprise your friends.

Tasting note
Deep, dark ruby red. Complex on the nose, with fruity notes of blackberries and raspberries, complemented by spicy aromas such as vanilla and roasted notes. Velvety tannins on the palate, medium-weight, complex with ripe fruit notes and spices. Elegant and characterful with a long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with veal, grilled beef, hard cheese
Vinification
The grapes are lightly crushed, destemmed and fermented at a temperature of 28°C for approx. 10 days. By gently tamping the shells and carefully pumping the must, contact with the skins is maintained for as long as possible in order to achieve good color and flavor extraction. The aging takes place in small French oak barrels for 12 months and then in the bottle for a further 6 months.
