Tasting note
This Chenin Blanc reflects an obsessive desire to produce big, powerful and opulent wines from this grape variety. The grapes are carefully transferred, with the must completing fermentation in newer French oak barrels. In addition, a larger proportion of Botrytis grapes are added, raising the residual sugar to a rich and ripe level and providing a smooth aroma of cotton candy, peach and apricot with a long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
A great accompaniment to Thai green curries or spicy Indian dishes served with buttered naan bread. It is also an ideal wine for fried tuna in black pepper crust on wild herb salad.

South Africa continues to be known for its variety of Chenin Blanc varieties. Stellenrust has won the international trophies for the best Chenin Blanc in the world at the International Wine & Spirit Competition for two consecutive years. This Chenin Blanc was 100% fermented in new oak barrels. The wine then aged on fine lees for 7 months. The blending was made with 7% Botrities grapes.
