Tasting note
The nose shows ripe blue berries, cherries and some tobacco. These aromas continue on the palate with cedarwood tobacco spices, herbs and sweet and sour berries with a refreshing acidity.
Culinary recommendation
This wine goes very well with Karoo lamb or beef, but its elegance allows it to be enjoyed with nothing but great company.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal physiological ripeness, capturing the wide range of aromas of this elegant grape variety. The grapes are crushed and cold macerated for 1 day. Fermentation takes place for 7 days in open concrete tanks with regular tapping of the pomacehat and ends with malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 18 months in small 225 liter French oak barrels.
