About the wine
Martin Wassmer is a career changer, but has been growing wine with great passion for over 15 years now. His uncompromising commitment to quality not only won him awards in the Gault Millau or Eichelmann and the Vinum German Red Wine Prize, but also brought him international recognition and the Decanter World Wine Award 2015.

Tasting note
The color is a ripe ruby red with garnet reflections. Aromatic character, chocolate, cassis, some cherry and dark berries in the background. Clean, spicy, well-structured, good medium density and length on the palate. Clove and aromatic herbs in the final, subdued fruit.
Culinary recommendation
Unsere Empfehlung: Die perfekte Trinktemperatur für den Rotwein liegt bei leicht gekühlten 15°-18°C. Der Wein sollte in diesem Zeitraum genossen werden: 2016 - 2024. Zu Ente, Käse und Lachs empfehlen Ihnen die Flaschenpöstler diesen Spatburgunder «Schlatter SW».
Vinification
Die Vinifikation fand wie folgt statt: Grundlage sind Trauben von bester Qualität, extraktreich, gesund und von Hand gelesen. Die Moste werden möglichst mit ihren natürlichen Hefen zur Gärung gebracht. Alle Weine bleiben lang auf der Hefe liegen. Der Ausbau erfolgt im Stil und nach Tradition der Burgunderweine.
