Tasting note
Intense ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, red fruits, sweet spices, plus some vanilla. Round on the palate, harmonious, with a pleasant tannin structure and good persistence on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with raviolo with ricotta filling and scaloppine al merlot.
Vinification
The Merlot grapes for “little Montiano” are harvested by hand and immediately brought to the cellar. The vinification is temperature-controlled in steel tanks. To refine, the young Merlot matures for nine months in oak barrels. (Never and Tronçais)
