About the wine
The cuvée comes from steep, south-east-exposed Gewürztraminer sites at an altitude of 300—500 m. Lime-rich clay soils with gravelly content characterize the character of this wine. The name Selida — from Old High German for “small homestead” — is an homage to the small-scale structure that has always characterized the Tramin winery.

Tasting note
It shows a variety of scents, which are reminiscent of roses, lilies, spicy flowers, dried herbs and ripe exotic fruits such as mango and passion fruit. The taste is rich in body and extract and finely spicy juiciness.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with antipasti with fish or smoked food — especially bacon and lardo — as well as with mature soft cheese. It is also an ideal accompaniment to dishes with white meat and seafood. It also shows its versatility in spicy Asian dishes such as curries.
Vinification
After harvesting, the grapes are delivered in smaller containers and then pressed in a gentle process. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (19°C). It is stored in stainless steel tanks, without biological acid degradation.
