About the wine
Kellerei Girlan is a winegrowers' cooperative in South Tyrol. It was founded in 1923. Today, over 200 winegrowing families are affiliated with it, who cultivate around 200 hectares of vineyards. The winery is located in the center of South Tyrol. It includes prime locations 440 to 550 m above sea level. Thanks to expert advice to winegrowers and the use of cutting-edge techniques, both require high-quality know-how, Kellerei Girlan has achieved a leading position in the wine world of South Tyrol.

Tasting note
The Sauvignon variety has been cultivated in South Tyrol for more than a century. The intense scent of tomato leaves and elderberry and the freshness and vivacity on the palate are typical of this wine. Minerality and fresh, harmoniously integrated acidity are also distinctive features.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. After a short maceration and gentle whole grape pressing, the must is removed from the truff substances by natural sedimentation. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The aging takes place in stainless steel tanks for 6 months without biological acid degradation on the fine yeast.
