About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Andrea Picchioni absolutely masters his craft. Tasting note
The nose is rich and complex, with notes of ripe berries, sour cherries, undergrowth, spices, licorice and typical balsamic notes. On the palate, it is robust, with soft tannins, full, and lush.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with sausage risotto, roast lamb, braised or steamed red meat.
Vinification
The must remains in contact with the husks for about 15 days, is then removed and filled into used wood of various sizes. The aging process takes around 12 months, after which the wine is placed in cement tanks and bottled. A further 6 months of bottle aging.
