About the wine
This powerful Corvina 2015 — Ripasso della Valpolicella crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. Fertile and beautiful landscapes in Veneto give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Santa Sofia conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Corvina is very good to serve with recent types of cheese or roasts.

Tasting note
A strikingly bright ruby red, surrounded by ruby and garnet reflections on the edge of the glass. The bouquet is seductive and complex with notes of sour cherries, plums, wood, cloves, cinnamon and licorice roots. On the palate, it is pleasantly strong and concentrated with silky tannins and a velvety structure followed by a clean and long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Semi-hard cheeses and sausages. After a few years of aging, excellent with poultry, roast veal, pork ribs or Wiener Schnitzel.
Vinification
9 months in oak barrels, then approx. 6 months in bottle.
