Full ruby red, smells elegantly of ripe cherries, berries and spices (especially ginger); persistent and warm on the palate, at the same time a slightly spicy nuance

Goes well with meat dishes and mature cheeses
Vinification
Ripasso is a special process, i.e. the Valpolicella wine, which has already been fermented through, is re-fermented on the Amarone mash as soon as the Amarone has been cut off. Valpolicella vinified using this method is more intense, concentrated and has a very good aging potential
