About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agricola Stefano Berti masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile countryside of Emilia-Romagna. Tasting note
The color is a dense cherry red. The rich bouquet shows aromas of dark fruits (cherries, plums), which are accompanied by spicy notes. Fruity on the palate, with good fullness, with appropriate tannin. A straightforward and decidedly variety-typical Sangiovese.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with braised beef, lamb dishes, game (such as deer or wild boar) and pasta with strong sauces. It is also an ideal accompaniment to aged hard cheese.
Vinification
Mash fermentation takes place without the addition of pure cultivated yeasts and takes about 14 days. The wine then rests in steel tanks for around six months before being bottled.
