About the wine

Of all the wineries in the Bolgheri DOC area, Tenuta Argentiera is closest to the sea; its vineyards stretch from the wide plain to the hills and lie in an idyllic landscape, rich in natural beauty and intense scents. The vines are surrounded by Mediterranean forest, the maquis, avenues of old pine and olive trees mark the boundaries of the winery. The grapes benefit from the different soils: The varieties Cabernet, Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah take on an extremely typical character in the Bolgheri area and produce great wines of the highest quality.

Tasting note
Flavours of pepper, plum, cassis and blackberries. On the palate, with juicy fruit, ripe tannin and surprisingly concentrated. The wine exudes a wide and deep spectrum of aromas. Already open and accessible, the structure is not only intense but also beautifully soft and balanced. Simply a sensation in this price range!!
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with grilled meats, roasts, spicy pasta or pizza with salami and mushrooms. Also with aged hard cheeses such as pecorino or parmesan.
Vinification
After desiccation and gentle pressing, all varieties were processed separately. Fermentation and maceration took place for about 20 to 25 days in steel tanks at a controlled temperature not above 28° C. Half of the wine was then filled into used 225 l French and Hungarian oak barriques, in which the malolactic fermentation was completed and in which the aging took place. The other 50% of wine was aged in stainless steel tanks. It was then assembled and bottled.
