About the wine
This Tuscan is rich with good structure and long-lasting finish. He looks modest on the outside, but he has won the “Red Wine of the Year 2023” award. Rightly so? We think so! Decanter: 92/100, Wine Spectator: 93/100, Wine: 91+/100
Tasting note
Ruby red color in the glass, deep and intense. The nose opens with intense and ripe fruit notes, particularly of plums and wild berries, and then continues with aromas of tobacco, moist soil and chalk. The taste is full and lively, with full, well-balanced tannins, persistent and tasty on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
With pasta, pizza and beef.
Vinification
Fermentation: 14-15 days in 75 hl raw cement vats at a maximum temperature of 28°C Ageing: in 41hl French oak barrels for about 13 months Refinement: in bottle for at least 3 months
