About the wine
The winery on Capo di Milazzo is Planeta's youngest. Only two wines are pressed: the pure Nocera - a local grape variety - and the Mamertino, where Nocera is blended with Nero d'Avola.

Tasting note
Clear ruby red On the nose, white pepper, geranium blossoms, pomegranate, plum and fig. Light and round on the palate, with juicy acidity and few tannins. The low alcohol content of 13% by volume for Sicily makes Nocera an excellent summer wine that also goes very well with fish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pasta dishes and, thanks to the deep tannin content, is an excellent choice with fish or seafood.
Vinification
Handpicked in mid-September. Temperature-controlled fermentation for 7 days at 25°C. After gentle pressing, the wine matures in steel tanks.
