The special feature of the south-east facing plot of land “Champ de Cour” lies in the terroir. Under the granite floor, there are many pebbles under a thick layer of clay, which give the wine a strong and mineral note. Fermentation takes place completely in a concrete container to protect the unique characteristics of the terroir. During aging, most of the wine remains in Demi-Muids, followed by 16 months in new oak barrels and a further 2 months in concrete barrels. Mild filtration and the absence of clarification preserve the purity and integrity of the wine. A beautiful and intense ruby red appears in the glass, while floral violet notes blend with licorice, pepper and spices on the nose. Delicate and fresh tannins complete the taste experience and give the wine a harmonious structure. The drink is a true masterpiece that reflects the essence of this particular terroir in every note.
