About the wine
If you want to surprise a wine connoisseur, then with this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 — Monteti IGT! Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Monteti conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Cabernet Sauvignon with ribeye steak or red meat.
Tasting note
The flagship from Monteti. A blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Inviting nose with aromas of ripe wild berries, cassis and floral shades reminiscent of roses. Spicy with notes of graphite, leather and a fine cocoa bean touch. On the palate, full-bodied, complex, with fine sandy tannins and a long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty meat, braised or grilled, e.g. bistecca fiorentina or lamb rack with herbs, game specialities, truffle dishes.
Vinification
A few words about vinification: The grapes are vinified separately. After temperature-controlled fermentation, which takes 6-8 days, the young wine remains in contact with the skins for a further three weeks. The wine is then moved to 70% new and 30% used barriques, where it matures for around 18 months. After assembly and bottling, the Monteti is left in the bottle for a further 24 months
