About the wine
Sunny and fertile landscapes of Abruzzo give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agricola Binomio conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Tasting note
Color: Intense ruby red with purple reflections Nose: Complex and deep, with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, accompanied by a touch of sweet spices, tobacco and a touch of leather and cocoa. Taste: Dry, full-bodied and structured, with soft and well-integrated tannins. On the palate, it offers a pleasant freshness, which is balanced by good persistence. Notes of ripe fruit are mixed with spicy nuances and a light balsamic note, which gives the wine a long and harmonious finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with dishes with red meat, roasts, game and aged cheese. It also goes well with structured first courses such as pasta with wild boar ragout or gratinated lasagna. Ideal with typical Abruzzo dishes such as grilled lamb.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand and subjected to a long maceration in order to extract the maximum of varietal characteristics. The wine ages in oak barrels for at least 24 months and is then refined in the bottle for 12 months before it is on the market.
