About the wine
With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Antonelli masters this red wine in the graceful and fertile countryside in Umbria. A must for connoisseurs, this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 — Montefalco rosso DOC Riserva! Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with pizza with mushrooms or Gruyère burger.
Tasting note
Ruby red color with garnet reflections. Lots of rich fruit on the nose. Notes of precious spices and well-integrated roasted aromas complete the complex bouquet. Extremely powerful on the palate with lots of substance. Complex on present, well-integrated tannin. A wine full of character, long-lasting in aftertaste and aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with ribeye steak, Gruyère burger and pizza with mushrooms.
Vinification
Mash fermentation for 15-25 days. The wine is then aged for 6 months in lightly toasted oak barrels from France (5 hl), then for a further 9 months in 25 hl barrels from Allier and Slovenia. After this time, the wine is blended and clarified in large tanks for 3 months. This is important as the wine is bottled unfiltered.
