Tasting note
The Chardonnay grapes for this Blanc de Blancs come exclusively from sites in the Grand Cru municipality of Le Mesnil sur Oger. The basis is 70% of the 2020 vintage, 64% aged in steel tanks and 6% in barriques, plus 30% reserve wines from the tank. The bouquet features aromas of boskoop, citronate, dried apricots, and lime zest, plus white flowers, underpinned with delicate smoky mineral notes of flint, dried nori leaves and salt citrons. On the palate, showing nice freshness, juicy, with a finely tart, delicately iodic touch on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with sushi and sashimi, but also with Vitello Tonnato, with fresh pasta with fennel, tomatoes and olives, or even with oven-baked or grilled poultry.
