About the wine
There is something left over from Easter dinner every year. Do you know that? With sensitivity and sensitivity, the winemaker from the French winery Borie la Vitarèle masters this red wine in the sunny countryside of Languedoc-Roussillon. Tasting note
Intense dark red. On the nose, delicate aromas of cherries, garrique herbs, slate. Delicate tannins, intense on the palate, dark chocolate. Midi Rouge is a tribute to France's former fighters who shed a lot of blood in Midi. The wine comes from the best Syrah grapes of ancient tapelets at high altitude, from old Carignan on slate and from the best Mourvèdre and Syrah berries from the Crès (pebble soils) vineyard. The wine was aged in demi-muids (600l barriques).
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with grilled lamb, game dishes and aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. After fermentation, the wine is aged in demi-muids (600 liter barrels) over a period of 12 months to give the wine additional complexity and structure.
