About the wine

Elegant, with a harmonious balance of freshness, finesse and complexity. On the nose, aromas of ripe citrus fruits, white flowers and fine brioche notes develop. On the palate, it has a lively acidity, creamy texture and mineral precision that results in a long, elegant finish. A versatile champagne with a characteristic Roederer style.

Tasting note
Champagne color with bright, shiny reflections. Ultra-fine and uniform fizz formation Bouquet of yellow fruits (mirabelle, nectarine) and candied citrus fruits (lemon), complemented by woody notes (grilled, vanilla) derived from 24% of the wines vinified in our French oak barrels. The charm of the fine reduction notes (mussels, grilled and iodine-rich) works and gives the wine a very chiselled appearance due to the Chardonnay. Fruity (peach) and floral (pollen) on the palate, very light and delicate. The bubbling is soft and creamy, the bubbles are gently released, which leaves a saliva-like impression, as salty and dry chalk sensations occur on the tongue and lips. The texture in the middle of the mouth is oily, powdery, fresh, dynamic and lively. The aftertaste is calm and graceful, supported by smoky and roasted reduction notes, which most likely come from the Perpetuelle Reserve. Collection 246 is precise, delicate and vibrating at the same time. It releases a thirst-quenching lightness thanks to the exceptional Chardonnay content, which contributes finesse, elegance, chalk and saltiness. It is reminiscent of the character of some blanc de blancs.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fine seafood such as fresh oysters, scallops or lobster with lemon butter. Creamy cheeses such as aged brie or mild Comté also go well with the elegant perlage and fine acidity of this champagne. For a sophisticated combination, it can also be served with a light sushi menu or an appetizer with salmon tartare and avocado.
