About the wine
Picturesque and sunny landscapes of the Loire give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the French winery Claude Riffault conjures up this white wine with refinement and experience. With the delicious Les Boucauds Sancerre Blanc from 2015, you will positively surprise your friends.

Tasting note
This Sancerre delights with intense aromas of white fruits, citrus, gooseberries and light floral notes. On the palate, it is almost puristic, slightly robust with a wonderful straightness, a sherbet-like acid structure and delicate fruit. The aftertaste is mineral and long-lasting. A characterful and terroir-influenced Sauvignon Blanc.
Vinification
With the 2018 vintage, Claude also vinifies a Sancerre without a location name for the first time. The grapes come from various vineyards, which consist of 60% fine clay soils, 30% marl and 10% flint. The vines are between 5 and 52 years old. The harvest is of course done by hand before the grapes are sorted again at the winery. Fermentation and aging on yeast for approx. 6 months take place in concrete tanks. There is no biological acid degradation.
