About the wine
The winemaker from the Spanish winery Gil Pejenaute is absolutely proficient in his craft. Tasting note
Las Paradas shines in a deep ruby red. On the nose, aromas of dark berries, plums, blood orange, juniper, fresh herbs and a hint of wet slate inspire. On the palate, the wine is strong and concentrated with a sweet start, lots of fruit, some licorice, paired with grainy tannins and a mineral texture reminiscent of Priorat. An exhilarating garnacha of wonderful harmony with an almost endless finish.

Goes well with hearty meat dishes with beef, lamb, game, stews of all kinds
Vinification
The vines for Las Paradas, which are on average 45 years old, are rooted on a small 1.5 hectare site with sandy clay soils and a northwest orientation at 800 meters above sea level. After manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation takes place in open 500-liter oak barrels. The aging takes place for a further 18 months in 500-liter barrels in a natural cave at 13°. The wine is bottled unfiltered.
