With this biting red wine 2020 — La Carlina Langhe Nebbiolo Volubile Langhe DOC, the term taste takes on a new meaning. With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery La Carlina masters this red wine in the sunny and fertile countryside of Piedmont. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Nebbiolo with prosciutto or truffle risotto.

Tasting note
Light red with ruby shades. Warm and powerful on the nose with notes of dried rose petals and aromas of bomberries and blueberries. Well-structured on the palate, rich and harmonious with soft tannins and a full and elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with antipasti in all forms — from olives to pickles to vitello tonnato, pasta, risotto, bruschette and cheese.
Vinification
Handpicking the Nebbiolo grapes, gently macerating and straining, maceration on the skins for around 7 days at a controlled temperature (26°C), gently squeezing the pomace. The malolactic fermentation takes place immediately after alcoholic fermentation, three-quarters matures in temperature-controlled steel tanks, a quarter in French oak barrels for 5 months and a further 6 months in the bottle before the La Carlina Nebbiolo Volubile goes on sale.
