About the wine

Since its founding in 1992, Bordeaux and Rhone-inspired wines have been pressed at the DeLille Cellars boutique winery in Woodinville. The work in the vineyards as well as in the wine cellar is the responsibility of Chris Upchurch, winemaker and founding member of DeLille. It cultivates some of the oldest and most well-known locations in the Washington State region, Ciel du Cheval, Harrison Hill and Grand Ciel.

Tasting note
Harrison Hill has a complex nose with aromas of red and dark berries, plums, herbs, tobacco and sandalwood as well as hints of truffles, leather and fine spices. Medium-weight on the palate with an unmistakable elegance and balance. The tannins are fine and silky. Although this great red wine is still very young, it already impresses with ravishing complexity and a long, powerful finish.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Harrison Hill Snipes Mountain passt perfekt zu Ribeye Steak, Pizza mit Pilzen und rotem Fleisch.
Vinification
After harvesting, the selected grapes are sorted manually, cold macerated for 24 to 36 hours, followed by fermentation for two weeks. The wine is then aged for 20 months in 92% new French oak barrels. Finally, a minimum of ten months of bottle aging gives this artisanal wine the finishing touch.
