About the wine
Cottinelli was founded in Chur in 1868. Back then, in addition to wine, many Italian specialities were sold. A hundred years later, in 1970, they moved to Malans, where the Cottinelli wine house is still based today. Cottinelli cultivates a total of 22 hectares of vineyards from Maienfeld to Chur. The in-house production comprises five different lines. From modern to traditional, specialities and reserve wines.

Tasting note
On the nose, an inviting bouquet of licorice and cranberries unfolds, accompanied by a distinctive fruity note. On the palate, it appears very fine and supple, supported by ripe tannins lying subtly in the background. The aftertaste is long and leaves a pleasantly soft, lasting fullness on the palate.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty dark meat, roast veal, game dishes, duck and goose.
Vinification
The grapes are fermented in new 500-liter oak barrels and then mature in these barrels for at least twelve months. A wine produced under the name “Reserve” comes on the market at the earliest 18 months after the production year in order to develop its full maturity and complexity.
