About the wine
The 25-hectare Jamek winery is located in Joching in the Austrian wine-growing region of Wachau. The founding father Josef Jamek is considered a pioneer in Wachau viticulture. He was sometimes responsible for the exceptionally good reputation for premium white wines from Austria. The winery is currently managed by Herwig Jamek in the 3rd generation and continues the tradition. 85% of the production is white wine, with a total of 225,000 bottles being filled annually. The steep slopes are mainly planted with Grüner Veltliner and Rheinriesling on over a hundred stone terraces.

Tasting note
Light yellow-green. Inviting aromas of white apple fruit, a touch of fresh pear accompanied by hints of meadow herbs. Long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect as an accompaniment to fine fish dishes, seafood, white meats and Asian-inspired dishes.
Vinification
The grapes come from Ried Liebenberg, a steep, south-facing terrace with barren bedrock soil. After selective manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve freshness and fruit aromas. The wine is then aged on fine lees for several months.
