About the product
An outstanding grappa aged in small oak barrels for eight years. This long aging period gives grappa exceptional depth and complexity. Made from the pomace of carefully selected grapes, this grappa offers a full-bodied and harmonious taste experience that combines tradition and craftsmanship.
Tasting note
Full-bodied and sensual, with notes of apricot, plum, cherry, spices, candied fruit, raisin and chocolate. Elegant and velvety, on the palate, the full and fruity bouquet is confirmed with notes of pastry, spices, chocolate and marzipan, which complete the harmony and fullness of this exceptional riserva. Long finish.
Culinary recommendation
It is the perfect way to end a meal, to enjoy with friends or to read. Unforgettable together with cheese, foie gras, dark chocolate or hot chocolate desserts. Full-bodied and long-lasting, it goes particularly well with a Cuban cigar.
Vinification
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and in vacuum, followed immediately by distillation to prevent harmful secondary fermentation. Discontinuous steam distillation according to old family tradition in special, exclusive copper burning flasks, which were renewed by Benito Nonino. Distillation is carried out very slowly so that the volatile components responsible for the bouquet are properly evaporated and then condensed; in this way, the valuable organoleptic properties of the original vine are retained. Ageing: 8 years of aging in Limousin, Nevers barriques and in small former sherry barrels in the aging cellars of Nonino distilleries. Bottled without the addition of dyes.
