About the wine
To get a feel for the barren landscape aesthetics in Catalonia, there is no way around this red wine, which the Spanish winery Miguel Torres masters with a keen sense of texture. Tasting note
Rich, dark kish-red. Intense and complex in scent, reminiscent of fruit compote, thyme, cedar and tree resin. Full and strong, lots of enamel and fruit extract, rich, fine-grained tannin structure, lingering with beautiful fruit for a very long time. A southern wine with opulence and drama — for special moments!

Vinification
This wine owes its name to the walls that protected Poblet Abbey from wars and mercenaries. The unmistakable identity of Grans Muralles is found in the stony slate soils (llicorella), but also in the varieties made from them. After a century of phylloxera, the Torres family succeeded in extracting extinct autochthonous varieties such as Garró and Querol using modern viticulture techniques. These varieties, together with Garnacha tinta, Carinena and Monastrell, form the spirit of this unique wine. Aging in new French barriques for 18 months.
