About the wine
Contratto already looks back on 150 years of eventful history. The winery specializes in Methodo Classico, which is no coincidence. Because as early as the 1920s and 30s, Contratto was able to produce fine wines for the Vatican and the royal families. In fact, Contratto was also exported to the remotest corners of the British Empire and enjoyed there. Since 2011, Contratto has been owned by Giorgio Rivetti — a very committed and experienced winemaker, who today continues the business with his family. Thanks to his innovative and tireless efforts, Contratto has remained a popular and successful brand.

Tasting note
Light golden yellow with shiny reflections. Complex and sophisticated, with intense aromas of citrus fruits, bread crust and light notes of dried fruit such as almonds and hazelnuts. There are also delicate mineral notes and floral notes. Dry and distinctive, with an elegant and sophisticated structure. The fine and persistent pearls accompany a citrusy freshness, which is balanced by a mineral aftertaste. The wine is characterized by a long persistence with light notes of green apple and pastry.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with seafood, tuna tartare, oysters and fish dishes. Perfect with sushi, sashimi and delicate crustacean dishes. The combination with fresh cheese and vegetable antipasto is also interesting.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by a long aging period of around 48 months on the yeast. Dosage Zero (Pas Dosé) underlines the purity and freshness of Pinot Noir and preserves its varietal and regional characteristics.
