Tasting note
Brilliant yellow with golden reflections. Distinctly fruity on the nose, with notes of ripe banana, pineapple and mango, which blend perfectly with the spicy aromas of barriques. Full and soft on the palate. Creamy texture, notes of tropical fruits and blossom honey. The finish is rich in finesse and long.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish and white meat, preferably with creamy sauces. Also with panzanella (Tuscan bread salad).
Vinification
The grapes for this wine come from one of the highest and best locations in the winery. “Fontanelle” is located 250 meters above sea level. The grapes are strictly selected, destemmed and cooled to 12 to 14 degrees. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in French oak barrels. This is followed by ageing for 8-10 months in 350 l French oak barriques with bâtonnage and roulage. This process creates a creamy, complex white wine with lots of freshness.
