About the wine
This powerful Nerello 2013 — Etna rosso DOC crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The winemaker from the Italian winery Graci masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the blooming and fertile landscape of Sicily. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this nerello with beef goulash or Sicilian pasta dishes.
Tasting note
Red berries and cherries with herbal notes and fresh minerals. Due to its etna characteristics, it is clearly a terroir, but with exotic notes.
Culinary recommendation
Serve with pasta, grilled food or slightly chilled as an aperitif.
Vinification
Orientation of the vines: North-eastern side of Etna at 600-700 m above sea level, the harvest takes place in mid-October. Spontaneously fermented without temperature control in cement tanks, maceration in contact with the husks for 30 days. Ageing: 18 months in cement tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place spontaneously. Annual production: 30,000 bottles
