About the wine
The Epistem wines from Atlan & Artisan come from their certified organic vineyards in Jumilla at 850 meters above sea level. The Espernalas “Clos” vineyard covers over 90 hectares and is known for its unique terroir with Monastrell Pie Franco and old Bobal vines. Panduro, a north-facing vineyard on the edge of the forest, produces fresh, silky Monastrell wines. They rely on minimal intervention and let the wines authentically reflect their terroir.

Tasting note
The fruity Epistem bouquet of blackberry, bread and jam skilfully flirts with your sense of smell. Afterwards, playful nuances of blackcurrant and chocolate will resolutely and consciously impress your taste buds. Its deep purple color is the icing on the cake for any special occasion. Your friends will tell you. A fruity red wine with a medium-bodied body and dominant acidity, which develops its complex structure pleasantly with finely developed tannins on the tongue and on the palate.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Epistem goes perfectly with game, roasted vegetables and barbecues. Our recommendation: Organic red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled temperature of 15°-17°C.
Vinification
Selective harvesting, fermentation in steel tanks followed by aging for 12 months in used French 500L wooden barrels.
