With this provocative red wine 2017 — Elo Veni Negroamaro IGT Salento, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Blooming and fertile landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Leone de Castris conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Tasting note
On the nose cherries, elderberries and licorice, underlaid with a little spicy cinnamon, a velvety start on the palate, blackberry fruit, carried by a ripe tannin structure, beautifully balanced and slightly flowing until the finish.
Culinary recommendation
Grilled fish and meat. Paella for sure. Bratwurst & rösti. Spicy cheese goes very well with it. Pasta with porcini mushrooms, vitello tonnato, fried meat, verdure miste.
Vinification
Aging for at least 2 months in steel tanks and a further 2 months in the bottle before the Elo Veni is sold.
