Tasting note
Fondrèche Rouge shines on the nose with complex aromas of blackberries, ripe cherries, wild berries, dark chocolate, herbs such as thyme and rosemary and a slightly stale nuance. On the palate, it is dense and full, slightly creamy with fresh tannins and a finesse texture. A wonderfully powerful and harmonious cuvée with pleasant freshness and long-lasting aftertaste.

Goes well with ratatouille, hearty bouillabaise, Provençal dishes, hearty meat dishes, wild boar, beef fillet
Vinification
“The wine is vinified in the traditional way with a long maceration period to ensure a high level of extraction. After fermentation, the wine ages on the lees for 12 months. 1/3 of the wine is aged in barriques, 1/3 of the wine in large wooden barrels and 1/3 of the wine in cement eggs. The famous wine critic Parker writes about the 2016 vintage: “"A terrific “" entry-level "” wine, Fondreche's 2016 Ventoux Rouge is an amazing value. Hints of pepper and clove accent cherry and chocolate notes in this full-bodied, rich and velvety blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah (30% each), plus 10% Cinsault “” and rates it 92/100 points.”
