Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, inviting floral notes of violets, sour cherries and spices. On the palate, the wine is juicy at the start, with precise acidity and an elegant texture. The tannins are finely ground and well integrated. Aromas of red wild berries, again a fine herbal spice and floral notes. Aromatic, tasty aftertaste of good length.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Piedmontese antipasti and pasta.
Vinification
The Dolcetto grapes come from the Falleto di Serralunga vineyard in the municipality of Alba. After harvesting and pressing the grapes, the mash is fermented in steel tanks. The young wine is aged in medium-sized wooden barrels for six months. The vinification is completed by three to six months of aging in the bottle.
