About the wine
Didacus is a nickname Diego Planeta got from his father - when he didn't follow the rules at home. Chardonnay and Planeta are a special relationship. They made an international breakthrough with their Chardonnay. That was one of the initial triggers for the wine-technical upswing of Sicily. With Didacus Chardonnay, Planeta is expanding the opportunities for quality viticulture in Sicily

Tasting note
Intense nose of ripe melons, apricots, peaches and fresh herbs. Very present on the palate, but never looks fat. The wood is perfectly integrated, the finish is very long. A wine with an unbelievable level of class that can compete with top products from Burgundy.
Culinary recommendation
Can be enjoyed alone, or as an accompaniment to vegetarian dishes, seafood, white meats, pies.
Vinification
Handpicked in 14kg boxes. 12 hours cold storage time, then the grapes are selected again by hand. The fermentation takes place for 10 days in barriques at 19-22°C. The wine then matures for 10 months in 80% new French oak barrels.
