About the wine
Cornalin (Landrote) is a very old, extremely rare grape variety. It has no close or distant relationship with other varieties and therefore comes 100% from Valais. Since it ripens very late, it must be planted in the best, well-sunlit areas. Salgesch offers the best conditions for this. Albert Mathier set the foundation for family wine history by founding his own wine trade in 1928. Amédée Mathier now runs the family business. Alwin and Martin Mathier cultivate the wines.

Tasting note
Deep darkness with purple reflections. Delicate complex bouquet of wild berries and elderberries with vanilla notes. Powerful and rich on the palate. A firework of aromas.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fried partridge, guinea fowl or rabbit and Valais cheese.

The expansion took place in a steel tank.
