About the wine
Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Castello Banfi conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With the special Cum Laude Toscana IGT from 2014, you will positively surprise your friends.

Tasting note
Dark purple. Dense and seductive with subtle nose sweetness. On the nose, the wine impresses with a finely balanced blackberry and plum jam bouquet, accompanied by subtle licorice and tobacco notes. Fruity, flattering, perfectly balanced acidity on the palate. Dense, velvety tannins of high quality. The aftertaste is long-lasting and balanced. A wine with good aging potential.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with Parma ham, lasagna, white and red meats.
Vinification
Separated by type, the grapes are fermented at controlled temperature in large steel tanks with wooden inserts, so-called Horizon hybrid tanks. The Sangiovese is aged briefly in 60 hl and 90 hl barrels and the other varieties in 350 L French oak barrqiues.
