Tasting note
The Viognier from Creation presents a bright, golden yellow color in the glass. On the nose, this viognier reveals all kinds of mirabelles, nectarines, apricots and vineyard peaches. As if this wasn't already impressive, the expansion in stainless steel also adds sun-warm rock and forest soil. On the palate, the Viognier is pleasantly aromatic, fruity and balanced. Some wines are dry on the label, others really are. This white wine belongs to the second group, as it was vinified with just 2.4 g of residual sugar. Thanks to its rich fruit acid, the Viognier is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this youthful white wine from the Cape South Coast wine-growing region, more specifically from Walker Bay, finally delights with a beautiful finish.

Vinification
A Biel winemaker in the South African wine paradise - In 2002, Neuchâtel winemaker Jean-Claude “JC” Martin (formerly Domaine les Grillettes) and his wife Carolyn, South African with generations of winemaker ancestors, founded the “Creation Wines” winery near Hermanus. As a member of the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative, Creation Wines is committed to protecting and maintaining natural biodiversity. This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Viognier. Only flawless grapes were harvested for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Creation. After harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the press house. Here they are selected and carefully ground. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end, the Viognier continues to mature on fine lees for a few months.
