About the wine
Chignin-Bergeron is one of the 16 sub-regions or “crus” of the Vin de Savoie appellation in eastern France. The vin de Savoie (often simply spelled “Savoie”) is the main name for the Savoy region in the extreme east of France. The wine styles are characteristic and rarely found outside their areas of origin.

Tasting note
EYES; straw yellow with golden reflections; NOSE; floral, grapefruit, lemon, roasted almonds; MOUTH; fresh and balanced, with a sparkling mineral finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with shellfish, fish with sauces, pasta with fish sauce.
Vinification
The “Cuvée des Gueux” is pure jacquère grown according to the principles of organic and biodynamic farming. The vines, which are over 50 years old, grow on calcareous soils facing southwest. When the grapes have reached the right degree of ripeness, they are harvested by hand, gently pressed and then spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks for around 4 months until bottling. No additives are used during the entire processing.
